A tour boat through the islands
In front of Stockholm there is a fascinating maze of islands. Get to Blasieholmen and take a boat for a wonderful tour in 140 km of rocky islets, forests and the colourful Swedish summer houses!
In this open-air zoo-museum, the oldest in the country, you will see Sweden as it once was: mooses, brown bears and wolves will keep you company on the way, while in authentic Swedish cottages actors set in traditional dresses will show you the ancient national crafts and traditions. Unmissable.
“Fika” in Swedish means “a coffee and a nice chat with someone”, and it’s a real institution in Sweden. Act like a local and take a break from your touristic walk for a coffee, perhaps accompanied by a delicious “kanelbullar”. If you are in good company, even better!
In Sweden, alcohol above 3.5% are only sold in special stores, the “Systembolaget”: spend some time choosing among dozens of brands of beer, wine and super-alchoolics from all over the world. We recommend to try “Mintu”, a liquor really famous in Scandinavia.
